Le Canal du midi
The "Canal des Deux Mers"used to be the Fortune Avenue, the transport of goods and travellers avenue. Today, it is a shady boulevard of platanes for slow descovering seamen, quiet landscapes fishermen simply passing by, marvelling, gliding along the course of the river.
Les châteaux cathares
In the XIII Century, The Châteaux Cathares were the witness of the Albigensian Crusade which devastated the Oc region from the Rhone to the Garonne. Lots of them are standing around Carcassonne, the most famous ones are named: Peyrepertuse, Queribus, Termes, Aguilar, Durfort (Corbières); Saissac, Ventajou, Minerve (Montagne Noire); Usson, Puylaurens, Montségur (Pyrenees)...
